The Rough Sleeping Project Team works to prevent and relieve rough sleeping. The staring point for many of those we work with begins when they have been found sleeping rough within the city. As a Street Outreach Support Worker, you will be working with those most vulnerable to provide support to end their homelessness and begin the housing journey. This roles requires work outside normal working hours, a caring nature and a drive to help others. If you have experience of working in the homeless sector we would eb keen to hear from you.
Although a maternity cover post there will be the opportunity to work the same role for a longer period of time as existing team changes.

City of Lincoln Council are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Auditor to join our small team. We have an in-house Internal Audit Team working in partnership with the Lincolnshire County Council Assurance Lincolnshire Team. The post is advertised as full time 37 hrs a week, applications for part time hours and different working patterns are encouraged. We operate a hybrid approach to working, working remotely at home and within City Hall. There may also be opportunities to work with other local clients either on site or remotely.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in Internal Audit preferably in a local government environment although candidates with audit or similar experience within a different field are also encouraged to apply. The position involves undertaking a range of audits throughout the Council including scoping, designing audit programmes, testing, reporting and discussing the findings of the review with auditees including senior management. Therefore, awareness and knowledge of internal audit methodologies and standards (PSIAS), good communication skills and knowledge of Local Government is required.
For this post you need to be a member of the AAT or hold an equivalent qualification. We will consider exceptional candidates who are studying towards a relevant qualification.

In this rewarding and challenging role, you will manage all housing management activities for a specific portfolio of properties/areas and create sustainable communities. You will be a visible presence on estates and neighbourhoods, focusing on providing an effective and efficient high quality tenancy management service to the tenants and leaseholders living in the council’s housing stock in order to maintain a good landlord / tenant relationship and strive towards tenancy sustainment, maximising the council’s rental income through effective income management and arrears recovery and ensuring compliance with the tenancy agreement.
To fulfil this role, we are looking for a customer focused person with a minimum of 6 months experience of working in social housing tenancy management or related public service field. This role can be busy and demanding, therefore it is essential that you have first class organisation skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and to also have a flexible approach to working hours. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate are also required.
As you will undertake site visits, it is a requirement that you are able to transport yourself within and beyond the city boundary, as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the City of Lincoln Council Safety Assurance Team as a Technical Officer (Asbestos Management) on a permanent basis.
The Technical Officer (Asbestos Management) will ensure compliance with legislation and best practice in asbestos management and all health and safety matters relating to housing services and a construction industry. This will include being responsible for ensuring the relevant type of asbestos survey is completed for the Council’s housing stock and ensuring the asbestos register is maintained.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory requirements and the application of such to provide sensible and proportionate advice, especially in relation to asbestos and the Control of Asbestos Regulations.
The successful candidate will hold NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and/or NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety and P402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies in Buildings and P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings qualifications.
