We are seeking either a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer or Senior Food Safety Officer with the Higher Certificate in Food Control (EHRB / SFSORB or equivalent) to join our busy team.

Key responsibilities (Environmental Health Officer):
- To make a significant contribution to ensure that the Council discharges its statutory duties in relation to food safety and associated official controls, health and safety enforcement and public health.
- Provide advice to the Food, Health & Safety Team Leader in relation to service specific responsibilities.
- To supervise the work of two Food Safety Officers and one Regulatory Support Officer from time to time and as appropriate.
Key responsibilities (Senior Food Safety Officer):
- Work under the general direction of the Food, Health & Safety Team Leader to ensure that the Council discharges its duties in carrying out food safety inspections and official controls, investigating cases and outbreaks of infectious diseases and promotion of public health initiatives.
- To take appropriate enforcement action in order to achieve the protection of public health.
